“Leaders’ Forum”, the latest initiative of the Association of the Gaming Industry in Bulgaria (AGIB), took place on November 26th at the Black & White Club, Grand Hotel Millennium. The event, which gathered managers from the fields of business, finance, academia and the media, was organized jointly with the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF) and the support of Telematic Interactive Bulgaria AD.
The guests of the forum were welcomed by Rosie McKee, Co-Founder and Vice President of Telematic Interactive Bulgaria AD, CT Gaming and CT Interactive, who emphasized the role of cooperation between business, finance, academic institutions and the media. “Only when we gather the experience, knowledge and voice of society can we turn vision into action and give meaningful direction to change,” said McKee.
Milo Borisov, founder of AGIB, owner and investor of Telematic Interactive Bulgaria AD, CT Gaming and CT Interactive, pointed out that the Balkan Gaming and Entertainment Expo (BEGE), held for 16 years now, has established itself as a platform for innovation, responsibility and growth and shows how Bulgaria is developing as a technology hub.
A highlight from the program of the first edition was the special discussion “Bulgaria in the Eurozone”, led by Levon Hambardzоumyan and Assoc. Prof. Manyu Moravenov, who outlined the main benefits and challenges facing the business environment and the economy with Bulgaria’s upcoming membership. Hambardzоumyan emphasized that the Eurozone is a geostrategic achievement that connects us to the world to which we want to belong, and Assoc. Prof. Moravenov emphasized the new two-way investment opportunities the membership will provide.
The “Faces of Change” awards were also presented for the first time during the event – an AGIB initiative that honors individuals with contribution to the development of the gaming industry. The awards in three categories – “Financial Partner”, “Media Partner” and “Special Contribution” were awarded to Svetozar Abrashev (SIS), Investor Media Group and Bob Miller, respectively.
“Our ambition is for this first edition of the “Leaders’ Forum” to become a tradition and a platform in which data and expertise lead to concrete decisions, benefitting the entire economy,” noted Angel Iribozov, Chairman of AGIB.
The stylish atmosphere of the evening was complemented by the musical trio FLAWLESS, which accompanied the informal discussions among the guests.
