{"id":1355,"date":"2023-03-22T09:18:05","date_gmt":"2023-03-22T07:18:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/agib.bg\/?p=1355"},"modified":"2023-03-22T09:19:20","modified_gmt":"2023-03-22T07:19:20","slug":"egba-publishes-new-anti-money-laundering-guidelines-for-online-gambling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/agib.bg\/en\/egba-publishes-new-anti-money-laundering-guidelines-for-online-gambling\/","title":{"rendered":"EGBA publishes new anti-money laundering guidelines for online gambling"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) has published its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.egba.eu\/uploads\/2023\/03\/230306-EGBA-Guidelines-on-AML-for-Online-Gambling-FINAL.pdf\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.egba.eu\/uploads\/2023\/03\/230306-EGBA-Guidelines-on-AML-for-Online-Gambling-FINAL.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">first pan-European guidelines, created to help European online operators fight money laundering<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EGBA guidelines on fighting money laundering and terrorist financing contain practical, sector-specific guidance on how online gambling operators should conduct customer and business risk assessments, customer due diligence processes, suspicious transaction reporting, record keeping, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr Ekaterina Hartmann, Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at EGBA, commented: \u201cThere\u2019s currently a lack of sector-specific guidance to help Europe\u2019s online gambling operators in their anti-money laundering compliance efforts and these guidelines provide a valuable tool to fill this gap and help operators achieve the highest possible standards.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Publication of the guidelines follows a consultation period in the autumn of 2022, when EGBA invited feedback from industry experts and national regulatory authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.egba.eu\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.egba.eu\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">www.egba.eu<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) has published its first pan-European guidelines, created to help European online operators fight money laundering.
